"Promise me the sun will rise again"

As the daylight illuminates its surface,"Promise me the sun will rise again" hopes to evoke feelings of nostalgia, longing, and the passage of time.

Exploring the intersection of waste and beauty, "Promise me the sun will rise again" was created out of a collection of plastic bags that I built up over many years while making pottery. Each piece is of plastic is lightly cleaned and then fused together to create sheets which are then cut up and glued together into the form of a doll house. I chose to create a doll house as a reminder of my childhood adventures, hopes and dreams.
