About Wild Bower Studio
Nicole Helen Brunner (she/her) is visual artist and sculptor working in collage, painting, textiles, and ceramics. Her work is grounded in a sustained engagement of material transformation utilizing found everyday materials like magazines, aluminum cans, plastic, synthetic clothing, pottery and more to investigate grief, mortality, gender norms and environmental themes through a feminist perspective. Initially trained as a drawer and painter at Ramapo College of NJ, Parson's School of Design, and the Art Student's League of NY Nicole’s artistic practice has evolved to include a deep passion for ceramics, mixed media and textiles. She opened a community pottery studio in Brooklyn, NY where she taught and provided guidance to upwards of 50 members. In 2019 Nicole relocated to the bucolic landscape of Mountaindale, NY, There she built out an art studio that is powered by solar energy and rainwater, making it an environmentally sustainable workspace.
